Description

A hearty and spicy queso dip made with ground beef, cheese, and flavorful seasonings, perfect for parties or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped jalapenos

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, cream cheese, and Velveeta cheese until melted and combined.
  4. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, stirring well.
  5. If desired, mix in chopped jalapenos for extra heat.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

For a milder version, use regular diced tomatoes instead of those with green chilies. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
