A simple, flavorful sauce perfect for topping hot dogs, made with ground beef, tomatoes, and spices.

- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, water, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot over hot dogs.
Notes
Adjust spices to taste. This sauce can be made ahead and reheated.
