- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the wreath: 1/2 tsp green food coloring
- For decoration:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 225°F (107°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar, beating continuously until glossy and sugar is dissolved.
- Mix in vanilla extract and green food coloring to create a light green hue.
- Pipe the meringue onto the parchment in a wreath shape using a piping bag.
- Bake for 1-1.5 hours until crisp but still white inside. Turn off oven and cool inside.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks.
- Top the wreath with whipped cream and arrange berries on top to resemble decorations.
Notes
These meringues are delicate, so store in an airtight container. Avoid making on humid days.
