Description

A stunning, festive dessert featuring layers of crisp meringue shaped like a Christmas tree, topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large egg whites
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 300 ml thickened cream, whipped
  • Assorted fresh fruits (such as strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries) for decoration
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition until the mixture is thick and glossy.
  4. Fold in the vanilla extract, white vinegar, and cornstarch.
  5. Spoon the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a Christmas tree form with layers.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and leave the pavlova inside to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, carefully transfer to a serving plate and top with whipped cream.
  8. Decorate with fresh fruits and dust with icing sugar before serving.

Notes

Ensure all equipment is grease-free for the best meringue results. Store in a cool, dry place and serve on the day of making for optimal crispness.
