- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup (60 g) dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup (60 g) walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup (25 g) green onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped cranberries, chopped walnuts, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix all ingredients until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 tablespoons each.
- Roll each ball in additional chopped walnuts if desired for extra coating.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
- Serve with crackers or fresh vegetables.
Notes
These cheese balls can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a festive twist, add a dash of cranberry juice powder or extra spices.
