Description

These festive cheese balls combine creamy cheese with tart cranberries and crunchy walnuts, making them a perfect holiday appetizer or gift. Easily shaped into small balls and rolled in additional nuts for a delightful texture.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup (25 g) green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped cranberries, chopped walnuts, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 tablespoons each.
  5. Roll each ball in additional chopped walnuts if desired for extra coating.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
  7. Serve with crackers or fresh vegetables.

Notes

These cheese balls can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a festive twist, add a dash of cranberry juice powder or extra spices.
