Description

Delicate, snow-like cookies perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • For decoration: 1 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and salt, mix well.
  4. Gradually stir in flour until a dough forms.
  5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. For a festive touch, add food coloring to the dough.
