Description

A comforting casserole made with fresh cabbage and melted cheese, perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, boil the chopped cabbage until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, diced onion, sour cream, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked cabbage to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with crushed Ritz crackers.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead and refrigerated; just add 10 minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
