- 1 pound rigatoni pasta
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each cooked rigatoni tube with the cheese mixture and place them in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed rigatoni and sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture. This dish can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
