- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs, skin side down, and sear for 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken thighs and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes. Pair with steamed vegetables or a salad for a balanced meal.
