Description

Tender chicken thighs baked to perfection with a cheesy topping for a flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs, skin side down, and sear for 5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the chicken thighs and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes. Pair with steamed vegetables or a salad for a balanced meal.
