Description

These elegant tartlets feature caramelized pears and creamy ricotta cheese baked into a snowflake-shaped pastry, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add pear slices, brown sugar, and cinnamon, cooking until pears are caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into snowflake shapes using a cookie cutter.
  4. Spread ricotta cheese evenly on each pastry shape, then top with caramelized pears.
  5. Brush edges with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
