- 1 package phyllo dough, thawed
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- For the Filling:
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- For the Assembly:
- 8 ounce wheel of brie cheese, sliced
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
- Fresh rosemary for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Tart Shells: Cut phyllo dough into 4-inch squares. Brush each square with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Layer 3-4 squares together and press into greased mini tartlet pans. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Cool.
- Make Caramelized Apples: In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized.
- Assemble: Place a slice of brie in each baked tart shell. Top with caramelized apples. Bake for another 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce and garnish with rosemary shaped like trees. Serve warm.
Notes
These tartlets are best served fresh. For a festive touch, use cookie cutters to shape the phyllo like Christmas trees after baking.
