Description

These Caprese Pastry Bites are a delightful appetizer featuring fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for parties or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares or rounds.
  3. Place a slice of mozzarella and a few halved cherry tomatoes on each pastry piece.
  4. Add a fresh basil leaf on top and drizzle with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry to create a border and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before drizzling with balsamic glaze.
