Vegan Lettuce Wraps

A light and refreshing plant-based version of classic lettuce wraps, packed with flavor and crunch.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup diced mushrooms
  • 1 cup diced tofu
  • 1/2 cup diced water chestnuts
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 8 large butter lettuce leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add mushrooms, tofu, water chestnuts, green onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Spoon the mixture into lettuce leaves.
  5. Garnish with chopped peanuts if desired.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
