Ingredients

  • 12 cups bread cubes from day-old bread
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir celery and onion until soft, about 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, celery mixture, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour in chicken broth; mix until evenly moistened.
  5. Spoon into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes
