For the Crust:
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir into the saucepan and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each fillet generously with the teriyaki sauce.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
