Mushroom and Garlic Spaghetti

A simple yet flavorful pasta dish with sautéed mushrooms and garlic in a light olive oil sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  4. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with reserved pasta water. Toss to combine.
  5. Stir in parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
