For the Crust:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, vanilla extract, almond extract, and milk. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
  6. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the tops of the cookies into the glaze and decorate with sprinkles.
  7. Let glaze set before serving.
