For the Crust:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  3. Whisk in sugar, then eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes or until set.
  6. Let cool completely before serving.
