For the Crust:

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 can black beans, drained and mashed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, combine cooked quinoa, mashed black beans, breadcrumbs, egg, red onion, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
