A delicious vegetarian dish featuring crispy tofu coated in a sweet and savory honey-garlic sauce.

For the Crust:
- 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Press tofu to remove excess water, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Toss tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove tofu and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Return tofu to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
