Delicious bite-sized crab cakes with a crispy golden exterior and tender, flavorful interior, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb lump crab meat, drained and picked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, mustard, and pepper. Mix gently.
  2. Form the mixture into small bite-sized patties, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry crab bites in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
