For the Crust:
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, then stir in Parmesan cheese, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
