For the Crust:

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, then stir in Parmesan cheese, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
