For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another dish, place beaten eggs. In a third dish, place panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with panko. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and coating is golden and crispy.
  5. While chicken bakes, whisk together hot sauce, honey, and melted butter in a small bowl. Brush the hot honey glaze over the cooked chicken and serve immediately.
