For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Cooking spray
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- In a shallow dish, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another dish, place beaten eggs. In a third dish, place panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with panko. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and coating is golden and crispy.
- While chicken bakes, whisk together hot sauce, honey, and melted butter in a small bowl. Brush the hot honey glaze over the cooked chicken and serve immediately.
