Apple Pie Stuffed Cinnamon Rolls

Soft cinnamon rolls filled with spiced apple pie filling and topped with a sweet glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender. Stir in walnuts if using.
  3. Unroll cinnamon roll dough. Spoon apple mixture along the center of each roll. Roll up tightly and place in baking dish.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with included icing while warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
