- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon for the base.
- Add the applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan, ensuring an even layer.
- In a separate bowl, combine the topping ingredients: rolled oats, chopped walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted coconut oil.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the base layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
