Description

A fresh and flavorful dish featuring ground chicken seasoned with garlic, onions, and a spicy Thai chili sauce, wrapped in crisp lettuce leaves.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and diced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and diced onion; cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and Sriracha; stir to combine and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Mix in diced water chestnuts and sliced green onions; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. Spoon the chicken mixture into individual butter lettuce leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of Sriracha. Pair with steamed rice for a complete meal.
